Kanda Express to reach Delhi tomorrow, sell onions at ₹35 per kg

The first 'Kanda Express' carrying 800 tonnes of onions will reach the national capital on Wednesday, Consumer Affairs Secretary Nidhi Khare said. The stock will be sold to consumers through NAFED, NCCF and Kendriya Bhandar stores at ₹35 per kg. The government launched Kanda Express amid onion prices rising nearly 60% year-on-year.
