Kangaroo teeth grow forever, keep record of their age & sex: Study

The teeth of kangaroos, which grow continuously forever, can reveal an individual's age and sex, a study published in Archives of Oral Biology stated. As teeth wear down and are replaced, researchers can analyse growth patterns and wear stages to determine their age. Additionally, differences in tooth structure between males and females provide clues to the sex of the kangaroo.
