Kannada actor Shiva calls Hindi 'national language'; criticised

Kannada actor Shiva Rajkumar sparked backlash after calling Hindi the 'national language' during the pan-India film 'Original Monster' trailer launch. When asked about delivering Hindi dialogues for the film, Shiva said, "Hindi's my second language...It's an easy language, the national language. How would we not know it?" An X user wrote, "Your fondness for other languages is glaringly obvious."
