Kannur murder accused held after 14 years on the run

Coimbatore native Anand, accused of murdering Manikandan in Kannur in December 2012, was arrested after 14 years on the run. He had secured bail before absconding and was later declared a proclaimed offender. A special Kannur City Police team tracked him to Coimbatore despite his avoiding mobile phones. Police also found his alleged involvement in a 2021 Tamil Nadu murder.
