Kannur toddler dies after anaesthesia; police to question doctors

Police will question three doctors over the death of a one-and-a-half-year-old boy who died after being administered anaesthesia for suturing a lip injury at a private hospital in Kannur. A preliminary post-mortem report reportedly suggested the anaesthesia may not have been necessary. Authorities will constitute a medical board and await its findings before taking further action.
