Kanpur man confesses to strangling wife, surrenders to police

A 22-year-old man in Kanpur confessed at Maharajpur police station to strangling his wife, Shweta, at their rented home. After wandering the city for four hours, he decided to surrender. Police have recovered the body and sent it for post-mortem. The couple had eloped from Fatehpur and had a strained relationship prior to the incident.
