Kanwariyas drag men from police jeep & beat them in Meerut, police issues statement

A video showing Kanwariyas dragging two men from police jeep before beating them in UP's Meerut has gone viral on social media. The police said the claims that two policemen were beaten and their clothes were torn are false. It stated the incident occurred after a Kanwariya travelling towards Haridwar on motorcycle collided with another Kanwariya returning with holy water.
