Kapil Dev missed only one Test in his 16-year career

Kapil Dev played 66 consecutive Tests before missing the only Test match of his career that started on December 31, 1984 at Eden Gardens in Kolkata against England. Dev was reportedly dropped because of his dismissal in the last match. However, Dev was selected again in the next match, and he went on to play 65 consecutive Tests before retiring.
