Karan Johar makes Met Gala debut in outfit inspired by Raja Ravi Varma's art

Filmmaker Karan Johar made his Met Gala debut in a bespoke outfit by designer Manish Malhotra, drawing inspiration from artworks of Indian painter Raja Ravi Varma. The outfit featured Johar in a vintage jacket layered over a hand-painted cape, approximately six feet in length. Met Gala 2026 theme is 'Costume Art', with the dress code titled 'Fashion is Art'
