Kargil teacher turns war bunkers into classrooms to teach history

Kargil teacher Mohd Mustafa Kamal transformed abandoned war bunkers into classrooms where students experience history through a prehistoric lab, mock Parliament and a Mohenjo-Daro-inspired board game. His approach made a middle-schooler call history "practical". Mustafa, who gave up cricket due to financial constraints, received the National Teachers Award 2026.
