Karnataka appoints retired IAS Rakesh Singh as K-RERA chairperson

Karnataka has appointed retired IAS officer Rakesh Singh as chairperson of K-RERA, filling the vacancy since May. Singh, formerly additional chief secretary of Urban Development, will lead K-RERA for about five years, pending future changes. His deep urban development experience and connections with Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar influenced his selection.
