Karnataka bans smoking and tobacco use in public offices

The Karnataka government has prohibited its employees from smoking cigarettes and consuming any tobacco products inside government offices and premises. Disciplinary action will be taken against those employees who violate the order, according to a government circular. The government order stated that a warning board in this regard shall be displayed at suitable places at offices.
