Karnataka bus conductor thrashed for not speaking in Marathi

A Karnataka state transport bus conductor was allegedly thrashed by locals in Belagavi for not speaking in Marathi. "[Two passengers] asked me to speak in Marathi but I don't know Marathi," he said. "After I asked them to speak to me in Kannada, six to seven people in bus attacked me," he added. The argument broke out over free ticket.
