Karnataka Congress MLA Patil threatens to quit over drought issues

Addressing farmers, Karnataka Congress MLA HK Patil, who represents the Gadag constituency, said on Sunday that he would resign as MLA if Gadag taluk was not declared drought-hit by October 10. However, Patil said he would make every effort to have the declaration made before October 2. So far, 124 taluks in Karnataka have been declared drought-hit.
