Karnataka farmers spend ₹3 lakh to repair road themselves

Frustrated by years of official inaction, around 150 farmers in Karnataka's Ballari district pooled ₹3 lakh to repair a 3.5-km service road leading to 500 acres of farmland. The road had become dangerous due to deep potholes and monsoon damage. Farmers said repeated appeals to authorities went unanswered, forcing them to undertake the repairs themselves.
