Karnataka Ganeshotsav committee builds ₹10 lakh house for woman

A Ganeshotsav committee in Karnataka’s Uppinangady built a ₹10-lakh RCC house for Bhagi, who had been living alone in a tarpaulin hut. The initiative was undertaken to mark the committee’s 50th anniversary, with several groups, businesses and individuals contributing. The completed house has a hall, bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, toilet and basic facilities.
