Karnataka government to withdraw over 50 criminal cases

The Karnataka Cabinet has decided to withdraw 52 criminal cases registered across the state from prosecution, including the seven linked to the 2022 communal violence at Ladle Mashak Dargah. The withdrawn cases were filed against pro-Kannada organisations, farmers’ groups and Dalit activists, among others. The cases include around 10 against Kannada activist Vatal Nagaraj.
