Karnataka Guv nods to several Bills; anti-hate speech Bill on hold

Karnataka Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot has given assent to several Bills passed by the state legislature during its winter session in Belagavi. However, the contentious Karnataka Hate Speech Bill remains pending, along with the Karnataka Social Boycott Bill, the Karnataka State Commission for SC/ST Bill, and the Karnataka SCs (Sub-Categorisation in Reservation) Bill.
