Karnataka hikes electricity tariff by ₹2.89/unit in June
Karnataka government has increased the electricity tariff by ₹2.89/unit for the people in the above 200-unit slab in June. This comes after the state government announced 200 units of free electricity for all domestic consumers, including those residing in rental homes. State CM Siddaramaiah said that the hike was decided by Karnataka Electricity Regulatory Commission and not the state government.
