Liquor sales across Karnataka surged during New Year celebrations, generating ₹587.51 crore in excise revenue over three days, nearly 40% higher than last year. Sales of Indian Made Liquor and beer rose sharply, although New Year's Eve revenue was lower than in 2024. Overall December excise collections also saw strong growth.
