Karnataka makes face masks mandatory in public places amid rising COVID-19 cases

Amid rising COVID-19 cases, the Karnataka government on Friday issued fresh COVID-19 guidelines. It has now made the wearing of face masks mandatory in malls, closed-door events, hotels, pubs, restaurants, educational institutions, cafeterias, factories, offices, hostels and public transport. Karnataka on Friday reported 525 new COVID-19 cases with 494 cases in Bengaluru alone.
