Karnataka rescues 800 child labourers during surprise drive days after Shivakumar's market visit

The Karnataka Police rescued at least 800 child labourers during a statewide surprise drive on Saturday. This comes days after CM DK Shivakumar visited the APMC market in Bengaluru where he noticed child labourers, following which 29 of them were rescued. The raids were primarily conducted at garages, marts, repair shops, hotels, markets, bars and restaurants.
