Karnataka says Ola Prime Play convenience fee violates law

Karnataka's transport commissioner told ET the convenience fee Ola charges its Prime Play cab users for using value-added services is in violation of the law. He said, "Motor Vehicles Act and the Karnataka On-Demand Transportation Technology Aggregators Rules don't allow convenience charges." The State Transport Authority's secretary said it'll write to Ola, asking them to stop such charges.
