Karnataka schools to reopen on May 29 for 2026–27 session

The Karnataka government has announced the 2026–27 academic calendar, with schools set to reopen on May 29. The first term runs until October 2, followed by an 18-day Dasara break. The second term begins on October 22. Authorities have also planned a statewide drive to re-enroll school dropouts and complete admissions by June 30.
