Karnataka to ban bike taxi service within six weeks after HC order

Karnataka government has directed the transport officials to implement the High Court’s order to suspend bike taxi services across the state within six weeks. The court's ruling ordered bike taxi aggregators like Uber, Ola and Rapido to cease operations. The court said aggregators operated without "crystallised right", and the absence of state guidelines renders bike taxi operations illegal.
