Karnataka to crack down on speeding with new FIR rule

Starting August 1, Karnataka will register FIRs against drivers exceeding 130 kmph to curb dangerous driving. Additional Director General of Police Alok Kumar cited speeding as a major cause of fatal accidents, with recent data revealing numerous violations. Advanced technology, including speed laser guns and ANPR cameras, will assist in enforcing the new rule.
