Karnataka villagers perform traditional frog wedding for rain
Amid severe drought, villagers of Nilegowdana Koppalu in Karnataka performed a traditional frog wedding on Sunday (October 11) to pray for rain. Organised by Sri Sevalal Samiti, the ceremony featured three frogs, including one named Kencharaya, regarded as the rain god. The rituals were followed by a village procession and a community feast featuring chicken sambar and ragi mudde.
