Karthik plays his first World Cup match 15 years after ODI debut

Wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik, who replaced Kedar Jadhav in India's playing XI against Bangladesh today, is featuring in his first ever World Cup match 15 years after making his ODI debut. The 34-year-old was selected in India's 2007 World Cup squad but did not play a single match in the edition. Karthik had last played an ODI in January.
