Batter Karun Nair took a dig at Tilak Varma-led South Zone after being left out of their Duleep Trophy final XI against East Zone. Reacting to a post calling his omission "inexplicable", Nair wrote, "Inexplicable would be an understatement." After being dropped, Karun left the camp and scored 104 for KSCA Secretary's XI in Bengaluru.
