Kashmir sees unseasonal heatwave, locals urged to take precautions

Kashmir Valley is seeing an intense and unseasonal heatwave, with temperatures increasing well above normal. "Recent heatwave was due to temperatures rising to 36 degrees Celsius in May, which is quite late and unusual," said Farookh Ahmed Bhat, Scientific Officer at Srinagar's Meteorological Department. Authorities have urged locals to stay hydrated and avoid sun exposure during afternoon hours.
