Kavitha launches new party, Telangana Rashtra Sena

Kalvakuntla Kavitha, former BRS MLC and daughter of ex-CM KCR, launched her new party, Telangana Rashtra Sena (TRS), on 25 April, unveiling its flag and agenda. Breaking from BRS after family rifts, she thanked Telangana’s people, invoked the statehood struggle, and vowed to restore social justice. Kavitha also sharply criticised BRS’s failures and BJP’s stance on Telangana.
