Keep dreaming that Europe can defend itself without US: NATO chief to EU

NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte, while speaking to EU lawmakers in Brussels, said, "If anyone thinks Europe can defend itself without US, keep on dreaming. You can't." He added that Europe would have to more than double its current military spending targets to do so. This comes amid tensions with US after President Trump threatened to annex NATO ally Denmark's Greenland.
