Keep vigil on brick kilns to check pollution in NCR: NGT to UP govt

The National Green Tribunal (NGT) has directed the Uttar Pradesh government to keep a vigil against illegal operation of brick kilns "to protect the air quality" in the National Capital Region (NCR). The NGT bench noted that brick kiln industry contributed about 5% and 7% of PM10 emissions in winter and summer, respectively, to Delhi and NCR's ambient air.
