Kenya's Agnes breaks women-only half marathon world record by 1 second

Kenya's Agnes Jebet Ngetich set a women-only half marathon world record at the World Athletics Road Running Championships in Copenhagen, clocking 1:05:15. She improved Peres Jepchirchir's previous record of 1:05:16 from 2020 by one second. Ngetich finished 50 seconds ahead of compatriot Veronica Loleo, who took silver after clocking 1:06:05. Rwanda's Florence Niyonkuru won bronze.
