Kerala-based brand to craft Met Gala red carpet for the 4th time

The red carpet for the 2026 Met Gala was manufactured in Kerala's Cherthala using premium, hand-sorted sisal fibre from Madagascar, and is hand-painted by artists from New York, Architectural Digest reported. Sivan Santhosh, co-owner of Neytt by Extraweave in Cherthala, Kerala, has been in charge of the Met Gala carpet since 2022. The fashion event is scheduled on May 4.
