Kerala CM slammed for conflicting remarks on MLA's holiday request

Kerala CM VD Satheesan faced criticism for making contradictory remarks in the Legislative Assembly regarding a local holiday request for an annual boat race in Kuttanad, raised by UDF MLA Reji Cheriyan. Satheesan was allegedly heard saying, "Under no circumstances will it be granted," after telling Cheriyan the government would consider his request. The race will take place on Monday.
