Kerala court evicts man for repeatedly assaulting elderly father

Kerala's Kunnamkulam First Class Magistrate L Jayanthan ordered 46-year-old Joby to leave his home after he repeatedly assaulted his 78-year-old father, Simon. Police removed Joby from the house following the order. Simon had earlier complained that his son refused to provide food. The District Collector had ordered Joby to pay ₹3,000 monthly for his father's expenses.
