Kerala govt announces 70 acres of free land for IIT Palakkad

Kerala government on Wednesday decided to hand over 70 acres of land free of cost for setting up the permanent campus of the Indian Institute of Technology, Palakkad. The allocated land lies in the Pithiest west village of the district. The IIT, which was cleared by the Parliament this year, is currently functioning in a temporary campus.
