Kerala CM V D Satheesan announced the cabinet's decision to dissolve the Loka Kerala Sabha, citing non-implementation of decisions from three past conferences and allegations of excessive expenditure. A new mechanism for Non-Resident Keralites will replace it. A cabinet sub-committee will also work to convert expatriate remittances into state investments.
