Kerala govt to appeal against actor Dileep's acquittal in rape case

The Kerala government announced that it will appeal against actor Dileep's acquittal in the 2017 abduction and sexual assault case. State Law Minister P Rajeev said government "stands firmly with survivor" and will take necessary legal steps to ensure that justice is pursued "to its fullest extent". He added that the prosecution has been asked to initiate further proceedings.
