Kerala HC upholds ban on Malayalam news channel MediaOne TV

A division bench of Kerala High Court on Wednesday upheld the order on Malayalam news channel MediaOne TV's ban. HC dismissed the appeal filed by Madhyamam Broadcasting Limited, the channel's parent company, against the Union I&B Ministry's order to revoke the channel's licence. Centre had banned the telecast of MediaOne TV, which is backed by Jamaat-e-Islami, citing security reasons.
