Kerala jeweller robbed of over 1 kg gold on highway

A meticulously orchestrated robbery on Saturday morning shook a Thrissur jeweller returning from Coimbatore. A five-member gang intercepted Jaison Jacob, 55, and his young assistant Vishnu, as they traveled along the Coimbatore–Palakkad highway with 1.25 kg of gold bars they had just purchased in Chennai.
