Kerala man allegedly kills son amid clash over substance abuse

A father in Kerala's Idukki allegedly killed his 29-year-old son Justin by hitting him with an iron rod during a fight over substance abuse. Police said Justin, who had been drinking, tried to attack his father before the rod was snatched from him. Joy later consumed pesticide and was hospitalised. The family had planned to send Justin to a de-addiction centre. Further investigation is underway.
