Kerala man dies after contracting rare brain infection

Kerala's Malappuram resident Muhammad Shafeeq died at Kozhikode Medical College Hospital after contracting amoebic meningoencephalitis, a rare brain infection. Officials suspect he contracted the infection after bathing in Bharanikulam pond. Authorities have banned bathing there as a precaution. Further investigation is underway.
