Kerala man dies by suicide over dowry harassment faced by daughter

A man in Kerala died by suicide over alleged dowry harassment faced by his 20-year-old daughter. In a purported video recorded before his death, he said that his son-in-law has been asking for more gold and that he "can't bear this". He added that he gave 18 gold sovereigns during the wedding and later gave six sovereigns more.
