Kerala man held for attacking mother over money to buy alcohol

A 43-year-old man was arrested in Ranni, in the Pathanamthitta district of Kerala, for allegedly attacking his mother after she refused to give him money to buy alcohol. Police said Joby Jacob George dragged her from a cowshed and assaulted her with a stick, causing a finger fracture. He was arrested by Ranni police and later remanded to judicial custody.
