Kerala man plants 25 lakh trees in 100 acres of barren land
Kallur Balan, a resident of Palakkad in Kerala, transformed 100 acres of barren land into forests by planting nearly 25 lakh trees since 2000. Travelling across Palakkad, Thrissur and Malappuram on his two-wheeler, he created green habitats for wildlife. Balan also fed animals with leftover market fruits and built small water pools to support birds and other creatures.
