Kerala man sentenced to 34 years for sexually assaulting girl

Kerala's Thrissur man Shivan, 58, was sentenced to 34 years of hard labour for sexually assaulting a nine-year-old girl. The Irinjalakuda Fast Track Special Court also imposed a ₹2.25-lakh fine and ordered it to be paid to the survivor. Shivan is already serving a six-year sentence in another POCSO case.
