Kerala man trapped in well dies, body recovered after 50-hour-long rescue op

The body of a 55-year-old man, who was trapped inside a 90-foot-deep well in Thiruvananthapuram, was pulled out on Monday. The rescue team had been reportedly working for over 50 hours in an effort to save him. "We knew from the outset that this was a huge challenge...But we couldn't leave his body behind," the district fire officer said.
