Kerala minister calls Wayanad landslide 'manmade', says DM's warning ignored
Construction debris from the twin tunnel project in Kerala's Wayanad allegedly triggered Tuesday's landslide after warnings to remove accumulated soil were ignored. Environment Minister Sunny Joseph termed it a "manmade disaster", saying district collector had ordered on June 20 that work be stopped temporarily until post-tunnelling soil was cleared. At least five people were killed in landslide.
